Welcome to the web site of the Austin Chapter of the Links, Inc.

 

The Links, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization of more than 12,000 women of color, committed to enhancing the quality of life in our communities. The Austin Chapter is proud to have served the Austin community since 1960.  As part of a national organization with members world wide, our goal is to enhance the quality of life for all with an emphasis on African Americans and people of African descent.  The Links, Inc. focuses on education, cultural enrichment, health and wellness and civic involvement.  This focus is implemented through strategies such as in public information and education, economic development and public policy.  Through our efforts we have actively supported Pearce Middle School, Heritage Park Rehabilitation & Nursing Facility, Huston-Tillotson University, Children's Foster Care, HIV/ Aids and Health Care, Arts, youth enrichment and elder quality of life in our community. We value friendship, integrity, honesty, service, commitment, family relationships, courage and respect for others.  We encourage you to join us in this mission.
